HYDERABAD: The Rachakonda police on Monday arrested eight men for gambling from Bhongir town and seized Rs 2.5 lakh cash from their possession. The kingpin of the gambling racket, Thotakura Chander Yadav, is still at large, police said. The police arrested Nunchu Yellappa Yadav (55), Kotha Srisailam (50), Jakkula Ramulu (50), Ravula Madhu (35), Solleti Umapathi (60) and Thotakura Vijay Kumar Yadav (38), all from Boduppal, Thupakula Suresh (40) and Bhoreddy Santhosh Reddy (40), both from Bhongir. On credible information, the police raided a farmhouse owned by Thotakura Chander Yadav at Rama Krishnapuram and nabbed the accused. The police also seized eight mobile phones, 10 sets of playing cards and a Maruti Wagon R car during the raid.
